Pickpockets and thieves in Bangkok

Now I am a solo traveler coming to Bangkok next week. Having usually traveled to Europe alone I have just let my phone in my pocket without having to worry, about it being stolen from me. Now I know Bangkok fortunatley isn’t the worse city in the world for these types of crimes. BUT I did not have time to fix another card, (I know, it was foolish of me!). so I only have one card with me, and my phone is pretty much where my valubles lie. (Unless you count my boooks). BUT: How worried should I be of gettig robbed or my phone stolen from Me as a tourist. And what should I do to prevent it? I mean any methods for safe keeping. If I loose my phone or my card I don’t have anything else to rely on for payment
