Phuket’s Authorities Warn Airlines Not To Be Greedy

Thailand’s resort island Phuket has received complaints from tourists for high ticket prices during the busy season that lasts between November and March. According to a report by Bangkok Post, the local economic development committee has warned airlines not to sell overpriced tickets to the popular holiday destination.


Prices are below the benchmark

The Provincial Public-Private Joint Economic Development Committee of Phuket stated that they would take action to address tourist complaints about high airfares, even though they found proof that the ticket prices are now lower than the usual standard.

According to the Vice Governor of Phuket, Amnuay Pinsuwan, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has two different airfare rate limitations for Phuket routes, one for full-service carrier services and the other for low-cost carrier services.
