Paypal is back in Thailand again. But users must verify their identity via NDID only.

Good news for those who need to pay and receive money internationally when Paypal prepares to reopen in Thailand. After closing for new users in August 2021 and temporarily closed since March last year.

Users are required to register for identity verification through the National Digital ID (NDID) platform or digital user authentication. which requires an ID card and can be done through the application of each bank or go to the bank branch as well

According to Paypal, if NDID registration is not performed, users will not be able to transfer their accounts to Paypal Thailand and in August this coming. The company will begin to ask for some information to verify the identity and consent of the user. Which will start transferring accounts to Paypal Thailand in October.

The Paypal website states that the account types that can be transferred to Paypal Thailand must be a ‘consumer, freelancer (freelance) or general seller’ and ‘entrepreneur’ or business owner’ account. Open an account before March 7, 2021 only.
