Pattaya Tourist Police Ramp Up Patrols for a Safe Christmas Period

Pattaya —

On Sunday night, December 24th, Pattaya tourist police, joined by Thai and foreign volunteers, conducted foot patrols along South Pattaya’s Walking Street to ensure a safe and enjoyable Christmas celebration.

While the actual date is today (December 25th), Walking Street has been in the Christmas spirit for several days now.

The foot patrols, consisting of tourist police officers and volunteers from both Thai and international backgrounds, navigated through the bustling crowds, prepared to address any issues and maintain a peaceful environment.

The heightened security measures did not dampen the festive spirit, as the officers cheerfully greeted pedestrians, while keeping vigilance on the safety of both people and their belongings.

Shops and bars on Walking Street, Pattaya’s buzzing heart, adorned themselves with Christmas lights, trees, and playful Santas. Staff members also contributed to the holiday cheer by dressing up as jolly Santas and Santarinas, spreading smiles to visitors.

Despite the focus on celebration, safety remained a top priority. With an increased number of tourists in town, Pattaya tourist police said authorities and volunteers will meticulously inspect every corner to ensure that nothing could spoil anyone’s holiday. Businesses and tourist spots will also be thoroughly checked regularly.

Some minor situations of intoxicated tourists refusing to pay their bills were reported at some venues, but overall there were no major problems.
