Pattaya Man Allegedly Faces Death Threat from Thief Who Stole His Aircon Compressor

Pattaya —

A teenager received a death threat after he posted on Facebook a picture of an alleged thief who stole his air conditioning compressors on Thursday, February 16th.

The suspect snuck into Mr. Phakawat’s workplace in Soi Chaiyaporn Withi in Pattaya’s Banglamung district and stole two old air conditioning compressors. The 17-year-old victim, whose full name was not disclosed due to his age, reported the incident to the Nongprue Police. However, the authorities’ response to the case had been quite slow, he said.

The victim then posted a picture of the male suspect on social media with a bounty, hoping someone would recognize him. The picture, which clearly showed the suspect’s face, was captured on the incident scene’s CCTV camera.

However, a few days later after the picture was posted, the young victim received a death threat from whom he believed was the thief who stole his compressors. The threat message said, “Don’t you know I live right behind your house? I saw you drive by. Be careful, you might hear some gunshots. The compressors are just a few hundred baht.”

Feeling his life is in danger, the victim chose to reach out to several news outlets, asking them to spread his plight and urge the Nongprue Police to take faster action.

As of press time, the authorities are attempting to locate the menacing culprit before any harm is done.
