Pattaya Construction Worker Seriously Injured After Falling from a Three Storey Building

A Pattaya construction worker was seriously injured today, June 15th, 2023, after falling from a three-storey building.

This incident took place the same day that an electrician at a different location in Pattaya fell to his death, as we reported here.

The incident took place this morning at 9:45 AM at an under-construction commercial building on North Pattaya Road. The injured man, Mr. Samarn Prasert, 43-years-old, a plaster worker, was found lying on the ground by first responders seriously injured and unable to move with a significant back injury. Samarn was cognizant and conscious, however, but reported he had tightness in his chest. He was rushed to Banglamung Hospital.

A co-worker of Samarn, Mr. Somporn Rueangyoo, 53, told The Pattaya News that Samarn had been working on the third floor of the building exterior removing a concrete pillar when he took a wrong step by accident and fell to the ground below. Somporn said he and other construction workers immediately called rescue services for help after the accident.

Samarn was expected to survive his wounds and remained at Banglamung Hospital as of press time.
