Pattaya City Council Donates Wheelchairs to Elderly Women in Need

Pattaya —

The city council of Pattaya led by President Banlue Kullavanit donated wheelchairs to two elderly women who have difficulty walking.

The council’s act of kindness took place on Thursday, September 14th, in the Naklua area. Mr. Banlue led a team of council members and officials to meet with two elderly citizens who were in need of walking-assistance equipment.

81-year-old Mrs. Somboon Chaiwat and 70-year-old Mrs. Wanthanee Charoenchokchaipanich previously reached out to the Pattaya Social Welfare Office that their daily lives had been a cumbersome endeavor as they faced difficulty walking due to old age and health issues.

The compassionate head of the local council then decided to meet the pair in person to provide each with brand new wheelchairs. These mobility aids are among 10 wheelchairs that had recently been donated to the city by generous hotel operators in Pattaya, who intend to assist elderly people with mobility problems and people with physical disabilities.

Mrs. Somboon and Mrs. Wanthanee thanked the officials for their kind-hearted acts.

To request a wheelchair, Mr. Banlue said one can contact the Pattaya Social Welfare Office on the first floor of Building 1 of Pattaya City Hall or at 038-253-261.
