Pathum push unbeaten run to 26 games

BG Pathum United extended their unbeaten run in Thai League 1 to 26 matches last night when they edged hosts Chonburi 1-0.

Pathum have already been assured of their first ever top-flight title, a feat they achieved with a record six games to spare.

While the scoreline won’t suggest it, the Rabbits did dominate their rivals for the majority of the match as they saw Diogo Luis Santo and rising star Tawan Kotsupho miss scoring chances early in the game.

It didn’t take Pathum long to get the goal they needed to claim three points from the match as Pathompon Charoenrattanapirom found the net on 11 minutes.

Chonburi’s Eliandro had a couple of opportunities to grab the equaliser but he was denied by Pathum…
