Panels to cut business red tape: govt

The government will amend certain laws to help business operators improve their efficiency, says Tongthong Chandransu, an adviser to the prime minister.

Speaking at Government House yesterday, he said the government wants to help operators run their businesses smoothly. In October it set up a committee to tackle obstacles commonly found when operating in Thailand.

My Tongthong is the chairman of the committee looking into outdated laws or regulations and providing suggestions to the government. He said the committee has prioritised four key issues where law changes are urgently required. Each category will have a subcommittee to look into the details.
