Prominent medical technician Panda Lab raised the alarm over a popular travel scam that has caused hundreds of victims to lose over 50 million baht. The Consumer Organisation Council has outlined channels for filing complaints.
Today, Panda Lab’s Facebook page revealed that several hundred people have been victims of a prominent tour page. The victims had initially booked a tour, but it was postponed. Upon requesting cancellation, the company failed to reimburse the customers, leading to losses exceeding 50 million baht.
Panda Lab’s post quickly gained traction on social media, being shared more than 400 times.
“Has anyone booked a tour and then had it postponed? Even when you ask to cancel the tour, the famous company still doesn’t give you your money back. There are now hundreds of victims, and the total loss is over 50 million baht.”
