Pan Asia extends Thailand lithium resource

Pan Asia Metals has received results from step-out drilling at its Reung Kiet lithium project in southern Thailand with assays showing extensions of the existing mineral resource at depth and along strike.

The company is continuing infill and extensional drilling at the site and says the latest assays support the geological model of extensive lithium mineralisation hosted in lepidolite-rich pegmatite dykes and veins.

Reung Kiet currently has a mineral resource estimate of 10.4 million tonnes containing 45,600 tonnes of lithium oxide or about 113,000t of lithium carbonate equivalent. The figure was calculated at a 0.25 per cent lithium oxide lower cut-off of 10.4 million tonnes at 0.44 per cent lithium oxide, 0.04 per cent tin, 0.16 per cent rubidium, 0.02 per cent caesium and 0.009 per cent tantalum pentoxide.

Highlights from the latest assay results show a series of relatively wide…
