Pad Thai Take-Out Restaurant Opens In Greenwich Village

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A new take-out and delivery-only Pad Thai restaurant opened Wednesday in Greenwich Village with the goal of serving the “ultimate version of Thailand’s national dish.”

Pad Thaimee is located at 116 West Houston Street, and take-out is now available through TOCK. The restaurant says that delivery will be available soon through DoorDash.

The restaurant is run by Chef Hong Thaimee, a native of Chiang Mai, Thailand, and an internationally celebrated chef who most recently ran a pop-up restaurant in the West Village.

“My goal is to make the best Pad Thai you’ve ever tasted,” Thaimee said in a news release. “I have vivid childhood memories of going to the night market in Thailand and smelling the caramelization of the palm sugar, noodles, and eggs drifting from the woks of Pad Thai all the way down the street.”
