EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The P-47 Thunderbolt will not be returning to Evansville Thursday due to weather.
Organizers say the plane is now scheduled to return Friday between 1 and 2 p.m.
Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announced Monday that the world-famous P-47 Thunderbolt, Tarheel Hal, would return to Evansville.
They say it’s thanks to fundraising efforts by the Evansville P-47 Foundation.
The plane will be flying a series of passes over Evansville and Dress Plaza.
