I’m considering a fairly last minute visit to Phuket next week for a few days with a friend. First we’ll fly into Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok and spend 2 nights there, and then take a flight to Phuket airport. I’m looking at hotels right now and I’m a bit overwhelmed by the amount of options though. First of all however, I’m not sure where to stay. Right now I’m mainly looking at Kamala, but that is just because I found a cheap, nice looking resort there (Princess Kamala Beachfront Hotel). Other than that I also many accomodations at Patong, Karon, Kata and Mai Khao Beach. In terms of ‘requirements’ I have a few:
* Close to the beach, so that when it starts raining we can quickly go back inside
* Somewhat luxary
* Not planning on partying much, but we’d like to be close (walking distance) to restaurants and bars.
* Relaxed, not that busy
* Max budget of around €800 for 7 nights (\~30.000 Baht)
Based on these wishes, where would you suggest we’d stay? Any specific hotel suggestions are also more than welcome! Thanks
