An alleged member of the gang that robbed a gold shop near the border in Tak province on Saturday, shooting dead a customer, has been arrested, police said on Wednesday
The suspect was identified as Worapong Sae Thao, a highland Thai of ethnic Mong origin.
He was arrested by police led by deputy police chief Pol Gen Suchart Teerasawat and Provincial Police Region 6 commissioner Pol Lt Gen Akradet Pimolsri.
Mr Worapong reportedly confessed he and three other men also of ethnic Mong origin had robbed the Krungthep 4 Phop Phra gold shop on Don Jedi-Wale Road in tambon Phop Phra of Phop Phra district on Feb 12.
