Thailand, December 5 (TNA) Odisha para-athelete Suchitra Parida brought laurels to her state on Tuesday as she bagged the gold medal in Javeline throw at an international sporting event. According to information, she struck gold at the World Ability-Sport Games being held at Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
Parida won the medal in the f-54 category. She hails from village Bhuan of Puri district. She has been continuously practicing very hard since the last 8 months, Better Life Foundation, Bhubaneshwar, media advisor informed.
The Foundation has been aiding her not only through motivation but also financially to take her life in the sport forward. 15 para athletes participated in this game from Odisha, winning one gold and a bronze medal. Suchi now aims to compete at the Khelo India Games slated between December 9-17 in New Delhi.
