Non Immigrant OA visa

Can someone recommend a guide to getting Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A. I’m looking for a step by step guide if anyone knows of one that is current. I will be applying from the Philippines.

A second question I need some help on is if my wife joins me on the Non O and finds a job can she change her visa fairly easy?

You must fulfill one of the following financial requirements:

* A security deposit of 800,000 Thai Baht in a bank account in Thailand for 2 months before the visa application
* A monthly income of 65,000 Thai Baht
* A combination of the security deposit and annual income of 800,000 Thai Baht

If I qualify using the monthly income of 65,000 will I need to deposit money in a Thai bank? I have read conflicting information about this. From what I have read the income option is only for the first year and when extending the next year it requires cash in the bank.

**Can I use my Social Security benefit letter as proof of income or do I need something special from SS like a letter addressed to the Thai embassy?**

If the SS benefits letter can’t be used and I need bank statements, can I print out my online statements or do I need some official document from my US bank?

Police Certificate issued by the police authorities in your country of nationality and certified by a Notary Public.

I believe I read I have to apply to the FBI for the police certificate. **What if I’m a resident of the Philippines, can I use a police clearance from the Philippines instead?**

Does the FBI notarize the certificate?

\#3. Proof of health insurance.

I’m assuming my Medicare is not valid as proof of health insurance and **was wondering how you guys get coverage before the visa is approved**. I can’t imagine having to buy a policy for a year and get rejected for the visa.
