Non Imm B Visa issue

I worked in Thailand 6 years ago then I left to teach in Myanmar and Mongolia. Now I want to come back to Thailand and have secured a job at a good international school. However, I have come up against an issue. To get a non immigrant visa they are asking for my old work permit and PND 91 tax form – now I gave this back to the old school many years ago, as was the rule at the time.

New school won’t start the visa process until they have some notice of cancelation to get the visa in London. Has anyone else had this issue. Could I not get the visa in Laos any easier without the work permit and tax form ?
