Nimanye! Russian resto ‘Moon Under Water’ retreats to Soi Suan Phlu

After quitting the eastern bloc of Phra Khanong, Bangkok’s only fully dedicated Russian restaurant has opened a new front across town in a trendy soi.

Best known two years for authentic Russian tastes cooked by an authentic Russki, The Moon Under Water has dropped an iron skillet curtain across Soi Suan Phlu in the Sathon district. 

Chef Alesha Voronin has picked up where he left off, serving homespun classics from lamb-and-pork pelmeni dumplings and beetroot soup borscht to bite-sized pancakes with salmon caviar and “Drunken Sausage” – rustic pork sausage cured with brandy and served with pickles and mashed potatoes. In addition to dining-in, the venue currently also serves high-quality artisan products such as kefir, kombucha and some Russian tapas. 

The Moon Under Water is open noon to 9pm (as per current government diktat), Wednesday through Sunday….
