Nice Weekend Weather Predicted for Portsmouth, New Hampshire

It will be a nice weekend to spend some time outdoors in Portsmouth.

Meteorologist Chris Legro of the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, said on Friday afternoon that on Saturday temperatures will get up into the mid-70s.

There is a chance of rain around dinnertime, but other than that, there should not be much precipitation until Thursday, Legro said.

That means people who attend the 44th annual Market Square Day Festival and 10K Road Race will be dry and comfortable.

The road race is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Market Square Day was the first event produced by the nonprofit organization Pro Portsmouth. It is estimated that about 60,000 people typically attend the downtown event to enjoy the entertainment and purchase items from local crafters and merchants.
