New Covid cases fall sharply to 21,678 Tuesday

The government on Tuesday announced 21,678 new Covid-19 cases, almost 3,000 fewer than the 24,635 the day before.

Coronavirus-related deaths over the previous 24 hours fell three to 78.

The figures released on Tuesday did not include 13,296 positive results from antigen tests over the past 24 hours. This would raise the total to 34,974, dramatically lower than the combined 52,705 announced on Monday.
