The country registered 15,882 more Covid-19 cases and 24 new fatalities during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Sunday morning.
This compared with the 16,330 new cases and 25 coronavirus-related fatalities reported on Saturday morning.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Sunday afternoon that the 24 new fatalities were between the ages of 49 and 99, and included one Australian national.
Bangkok logged the most new deaths — 10 — followed by two each in Phuket and Chon Buri.
