Move Forward supporters march to send a message to senators

Led by political activist Sombat Boonngamanong, protesters gathered at Asoke junction in Bangkok at about 5pm today (Saturday) before marching to Ratchaprasong intersection for a rally.

Before the march, Sombat told the media that the protest is intended to send a message to the senators, after they ignored the mandate the people gave the Move Forward in the May 14th general election.

During the march, the protesters shouted the names of Move Forward party and its leader, Pita Limjaroenrat. Some blew horns, supplied by Sombat who says he bought them at Khlong Thom market.

The protesters also urged passers-by to make a noise to send the message to the senators for their attempt to block Pita from becoming prime minister and the Move Forward party from forming the government.
