Motorbike without leaving passport

Many places they want to keep your passport when you rent a motorbike. This is against government recommendations and I do not feel comfortable doing that, so….

Can you recommend any places in Patong, Phuket where you can rent a motorbike without handing over your passport? We been in Thailand for two months so far, and everywhere else they have been fine with a deposit.
