Motorbike crash kills Phuket man

A motorbike crash killed a Phuket man in the early hours of this morning, while another two people were left injured. The fatal crash happened at 3am on Sri Soonthorn Road, in the Cherng Talay area of the Thalang district.

Rescuers arrived on the scene to find the body of 51 year old motorbike rider Pomngnara. His female passenger had sustained head injuries, while the other rider, 24 year old Suppawit, had various injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital.

According to witnesses, both motorbikes were travelling in the same direction when they lost control and crashed, The Phuket Express reported. The Cherng Talay Police are continuing to investigate to determine the exact cause of the accident.

This tragedy comes after another motorbike crash in Thailand killed a person just last month.
