FILIPINA singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre is nominated for Best Asia Act at the 2023 MTV EMAs, which will take place in Paris on November 5.
The “Paubaya” and “Tagpuan” hitmaker is up against BE:First of Japan, Bright of Thailand, Tiara Andini of Indonesia and Treasure of South Korea.
Dela Torre is the sole artist from the Philippines who is nominated this year.
Previous nominees included Maymay Entrata who competed in 2021.
Dela Torre was previously nominated at the 2019 MTV VMAs, but for the Best Southeast Asia Act category. Sarah Geronimo is the first and so far the only Filipino to win the award.
