Longines updates the Conquest ahead of its 70th anniversary

Before its 70th anniversary next year, Longines’ first watch family has been given an elegant and contemporary redesign.

Registered in April 1954, Conquest appealed with an understated aesthetic. The yellow gold original featured sleek hour markers that echo on the new stainless steel sports watches.

The applied indices in different lengths give a less weighty look to the dial of the 41mm model. With a date window at 6 o’clock, the dial is in silver, brown, black, blue or green.

The face of the 34mm Conquest is in silver, light bronze, blue, green or white mother-of-pearl.

Instead of the characteristic indices, diamonds twinkle as hour markers and are doubled at 3, 9 and 12 o’clock on three of the five variations. A diamond-set bezel further illuminates the sixth rendition with a white mother-of-pearl dial.
