A loan shark in northern Thailand informed the police on Tuesday that a debtor – who is also his ex-girlfriend – committed suicide in front of him by shooting herself in the head due to financial stress. Her relatives are not convinced by the claim and insist that she never had a gun.
At 8.30pm, 58 year old Somkiat rang Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station to report that his debtor and ex-girlfriend, 47 year old Kaysorn, shot herself dead at his house on the Pichai Songkram Road in the central province of Phitsanulok.
Police and doctors from Buddhachinaraj Hospital rushed to the scene and discovered Kaysorn lying dead in a pool of blood. She sustained a headshot wound and a 22mm revolver lay on her right thigh.
Somkiat explained to the police that Kaysorn had borrowed 50,000 baht from him, and when she visited him to discuss the repayment, she admitted that she could not pay him…
