Live snake found slithering in Thailand Air Asia Bangkok to Phuket flight. Video is viral

Passengers aboard an AirAsia Thailand flight from Bangkok to Phuket on Jan 13 were met with an unexpected and slithery surprise. A live snake was found in the overhead luggage bin of Flight FD3015, which had taken off from Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok. The discovery caused a stir among the travelers as the small reptile was seen moving along the cabin lights above the compartments.

A video capturing the bizarre event circulated on social media, showing the snake’s presence in the cabin and a flight attendant’s attempts to safely capture it. Initially using a water bottle, the crew member later resorted to a garbage bag to contain the snake. The footage prompted reactions from viewers, with one user commenting on the uncanny resemblance to scenes from the film “Snakes on a Plane.”

Take a look:

AirAsia Thailand acknowledged the incident, confirming that their staff was alerted before the plane landed in Phuket. Phol Poompuang, the airline’s head of corporate safety, told CNN that such incidents are extremely rare and that the flight attendants are adequately trained to manage these situations.

“As per standard procedure for an incident of this nature, the aircraft underwent a deep clean and fumigation before resuming operations. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and crew is always our top priority, and at no time was the safety of guests or crew at any risk,” Poompuang added.
