Possibly all of these stories are five-years-old, or older. All I ask is you ADD a person WORSE than on my list (must be easy to do). 99% of the time it’s simply laid-back, normal experiences. Decent people, greetings, small talk, move on…..LOS. That list would be boring, except one Thai lady really treated me as her own when I got sick a long time ago. Head in her lap, fever, rubbing a wet cloth on my forehead, and worried if the heat, pollution, or both will send me to the afterlife. lol. Lists of dating Thai girls get old, but too much complaining gets old as well. Well, let’s see how it goes..

1. Dbag Farang bragging about paying for sex with an underage girl. In a restaurant with another farang, proclaimed how he had to inspect the goods first. Oh, he’s still an English teacher in a decent-sized city. I was eating at a restaurant with my gf and we were sitting right next to these two clowns. She wanted to report them to the police she was so upset. They were wearing their school shirt and for what seemed like 30 minutes talked about having sex with a young girl. You don’t forget these things, and unfortunately, we saw these guys at least another ten times that semester. Hard to describe. Your blood boils.
2. Farang I met in a big city who wanted to assassinate a guy in America who harmed his daughter. This guy was unstable, but we stayed at the same guesthouse. Big drinker, big mouth, we went to eat with his assassin. No, I’m not dumb enough to believe it; however, for hours he would tell me how good this guy is. One bag for passports, guns, money, LOL LOL. This guy would walk in the street and yell at everyone. Asking everyone for money, that type. Maybe this lasted one month, I don’t remember.
3. Farang teacher who beat kids in front of me, telling me discipline is important. I reported him to the school, they said it was probably the first and only time. Don’t think too much!!! Non-native teacher who thought it was acceptable to hit kids in their head, pull their hair, punch them…….and his best friend (native speaker) would kick kids all day at school. I left that place pretty quick. Both probably still teachers.
4. Thai teacher who hit hundreds of children. Maybe 8 years old. Ruler. She would launch herself in the air and come down hitting them on their hand. They cried like they were dying. I reported her. Nothing happened. Reported to the police. Nothing happened. What a monster. Still there (see her on Facebook) at school. She should hit them in their back, slap them, everything. Many teachers (Thai) there hit kids. Private school. I reported them to the police AFTER I left. Sorry, I wasn’t that confident back then.
5. Thai male teacher who molested me. Technically, at least. Grab my package quickly, grab my legs, grab my arm, rub my arm, touch my stomach…..everytime he saw me. It’s not even funny the first time, it’s horrible. Luckily the package touch only happened once, I kept wondering what I’d do if that happened again. Probably nothing, this is Thailand. He must have been bi-sexual since he was married and definitely flirted with girls at the school. He also wanted to set me up with some students, but I convinced myself that was a joke.
6. Thai male teacher who I thought were friends. After about a year he really, really wanted me to go with him and have sex with young girls. I really think he said 14, but I don’t remember (blocked it out). I had him repeat it a few times to really make sure our friendship was ending then. It ended. Teacher? Horrible.
7. The farang teacher who loved the N-word with the hard R. Every day. Lunch, used it. In the office, used it. Every…………single…………………day. It’s not a good feeling when you move and then realize you have to see and interact with these people every day. He also drank beer with students.
8. The farang who enjoyed doing cocaine and wanted me to help sell some for him. I had him repeat this a few times, since I was shocked an “educated” person would come to Thailand and be this stupid. He said he would buy it a lot in Bangkok and his money was getting low so he wanted to help fund his trip. I never saw any of the coke. I do think he was telling the truth, and he left without getting arrested or worse. Drugs must be the worst.
9. Farang guy who wanted to be a sex worker because he ran out of money. He was in my Thai class (which wasn’t free) and just kept asking me for money every day after class. Nice guy, so I would go eat with him and I never gave him one satang. I just lied about my finances and would put some money in one pocket, more in another, and he gave up eventually. This guy was sleeping in a massage shop to save money and who knows what happened.
10. Married farang guy who openly cheated on his Thai wife. I knew him for a few months (in class) and he contracted something from a sex worker. His wife would yell at him to go to the hospital and check for AIDS, but it was something crazier than AIDS I think. I met him in my Thai course, and I had no idea he was sleeping with like 2 or 3 girls a night and living with his wife (who also went to bars and hooked up). OK, so that’s not really cheating…open relationship, but they really did fight as if it was cheating. I had dinner with them once and I thought they were going to kill each other.
Well, not my best list. It’s like my journal. LOL. I really just shake my head and wonder, “Why am I even in these situations?” Then, of course, I blame myself. It is partly my fault.
Farangs in Thailand are definitely worse than farangs back home. That isn’t debatable.
Tell me a farang or Thai who would EASILY make this list.
