Late March Travel

Hi I booked flights to Chiang Mai March 27 – Apr 3. I booked this awhile ago on a whim kinda just wanted a holiday. Looking into the burning season now though I think I could’ve made a mistake.

Apparently last year was not bad but I’m just wondering if I’ll be able to know by mid March whether it’s a bad year or not?

My flights go through Taiwan so if it is a reportedly bad year I may just not take my connecting flight to Chiang Mai and spend the week there.

For context I’m coming from Australia so the heat won’t be that big of a deal. Don’t mind spending midday in the AC or pool.

I mostly just want to spend my time chilling out eating good food and watching Thai boxing each night? Are fights still held during this time?
