Firefighters have yet to determine if anyone was injured in a large blaze that broke out Tuesday night in Soi Pridi Banomyong 8.
A large response team shut down traffic on both lanes in the busy street as they fought to bring the fire under control and evacuate residents around 9pm.
“We still don’t know what happened or what the cause was for the fire. We’re still waiting for investigators to arrive at the scene. We also don’t know how many people were hurt,” said a firefighter on the scene.
The fire struck at two-story residence about 100 meters in the soi. The smoke from the fire was detectable from several blocks away.
