Land bridge project to attract foreign investors: Transport Ministry

Chayatham was speaking during the participation of Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting 2023 in San Francisco. He discussed the preparation for showcasing the land nridge project, emphasising that it is not a newly conceived project, but has been under discussion for the past 20-30 years. The previous government also studied the Land Bridge project, he pointed out, taking full account of Thailand’s advantageous location between the South China Sea and the Andaman Sea.

The project involves transporting oil from the Middle East to manufacturing facilities in China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Once the products are manufactured, they will be shipped across the Pacific Ocean.
