Klong Toey market closed after vendor tests positive

Klong Toey Market, a major wet market in central Bangkok has been closed for three days, from Wednesday, after a vendor tested positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, a three-month-old baby has also tested positive for the virus, the youngest case so far, among 32 new cases recorded in the capital yesterday.

The vendor at Klong Toey market, who is asymptomatic, has been put in quarantine after a saliva test showed that she had been infected with the coronavirus, according to Klong Toey district director Piyada Niyom.

More than 10 people who had been in close contact with the infected vendor have been isolated, Ms Piyada said.
