Kirins, Sukhothai post victories

Muang Thong United’s Willian Popp fires a shot at Chonburi goal on Thursday night.

Former champions SCG Muang Thong United continued their impressive resurgence in Thai League 1 with a 2-1 victory at struggling Chonburi on Thursday night.

The upshot helped the Kirins edge closer to the top four spots in the league with 28 points — fourth-placed defending champions Chiang Rai United and No.5-ranked Ratchaburi are both now within striking distance for Muang Thong.
