The new cocktail of illicit drugs that has killed many people contains a huge overdose of tranquilizer, Justice Minister Somsak Thepsutin said on Friday.
Mr Somsak was answering questions at a press conference at the parliment on the new drug cocktail, known as k-powdered milk, which has killed seven users in Bangkok recently.
He said the Office of the Narcotics Control Board tested samples taken from the bodies of the people who died. They found diazepam equivalent to 100 Valium pills.
Valium is the trade name of diazepam, a powerful sedative.
