Just moved! Looking for recommendations to live in

Hi everyone! Just moved to Bangkok for a job and hoping to get some reco's from this sub on a neighborhood to live in.

A few things about me:

My office is on Chit Lom or Siam BTS. I plan to be in the office 2-3x per week so I'm not necessarily inclined to find a place extremely close (perhaps a few BTS stops?) unless this isn't recommended for a 3x/week commute?

My budget is around 20-35k for a 1BR (maybe 40k if it's a nice building/room/area). I don't need a spacious room and actually prefer a newer building/smaller room versus the opposite.

I don't party very often or even at all, but I am a night owl and do like staying up late either by myself at home or hanging out with friends at a bar. So an area that still has food/shops open late would be nice

I prefer a neighborhood with a lot of good food options and groceries nearby. It doesn't need to be quiet or lively, as long as I have easy and quick access to the essentials. I know this is like everywhere in Bangkok but if I have access to great street food and restaurants for up to a 10 minute walk, that's golden.

I like walking/exploring and understanding that Bangkok isn't the best place for this, I'd want to know if there are any areas that are more walkable. I've read that Sathorn is good for this?

Lastly, is it important to live close to a BTS station? I originally was looking at proximity to stations but I'm okay with taking a tuktuk or any cheap transit to get to a station if the housing options are too limited. I saw a condo that even offered a free shuttle to the BTS station

From what I've researched, I've sort of narrowed down my preferences to Ari, Ekkamai or Sathorn (Chong Nonsi, Surasak or St Louis BTS) although I'm definitely open to hearing more about other areas tho!

Hoping to get more feedback from folks! Thanks in advance
