Jang claims fifth stage, Batsaikhan stays favourite

South Korea’s Jang Kyung-Gu celebrates after winning the fifth stage of the Tour of Thailand in Chanthaburi yesterday.

South Korean national cyclist Jang Kyung-Gu won the 169km fifth stage of the Tour of Thailand 2023 from Sa Kaeo to Chanthaburi yesterday.

Jang crossed the finish line in 4:00.29 hours.

The second place went to Australian rider Ivory Cameron of St George Continental Cycling Team with a time of 4:01.11 hours while German Lucas Carstensen of Roojai Online Insurance (ROI) took the third place with the same time.

Sarawut Sirironnachai of Thailand Continental Cycling Team (TCC) was the best Thai rider, finishing in seventh spot, 43sec behind the winner.
