I grew up in Washington state in the US, where pretty much every That restaurant has a dish called “swimming angel” or “swimming rama” which is just spinach greens and usually chicken or tofu, covered in peanut sauce.
Ten years ago I taught English for a while in Thailand and then traveled to a lot of the country and I never encountered anything like this. I never saw peanut sauce at all outside of satay. I now live on the East coast of the US and it’s not on menus here either. Is this dish totally made up in the US? If not, what is it called in Thailand, where can I find it?
