Is it true, you have to pay taxes when you stay more than 183 days in Thailand as a tourist?

A friend told me: „From 183 days of stay per calendar year you become taxable“

And I‘m confused, I asked chatGPT and it says no. And I asked bing‘s chatGPT and it says yes.

The only source that I got from my friend was this: https://staatenlos.ch/geld-ins-ausland-schaffen/thailand-wie-dir-staatenlos-zu-deiner-steuerlichen-freiheit-helfen-kann/

It’s in German though, but I guess you can use google translator.

What do you know about this topic?

Since I have friends in Thailand that are living there for about 2 years as a tourist and they don’t pay anything (and they don’t earn money in Thailand).
