Is it possible to have online courses for an education visa?

It’d be good to be immersed in the Thai culture while learning, but I’m not keen on attending an actual school. Online courses would be perfect for me. Reason being is that I suffer from quite bad social anxiety, so a class room would probably not be good for me at this point in life.

Any idea/advice/suggestions on costs of going down this route and how to go about this?

Additionally, are there rules on temporarily leaving Thailand when someone has an education visa?
