Those who want to see the avant garde high fashion of Dutch design house Iris Van Herpen with their own eyes can do so now through mid-May at a luxe downtown shopping mall – for free.
An exhibition of dresses from three haute couture collections by the brand, which is known for combining innovative materials and technologies with artisan craftsmanship, is open to the public until May 16 on the second floor of the Central Embassy mall, near Chidlom skywalk entrance. The designer has also opened a pop-up store there, its first in Asia.
It’s worth noting that one of the dresses on display was worn by American diva Christina Aguilera in her Reflection music video made for Disney’s live action Mulan (2020).
On display are three runway pieces and a few accessories from collections Van Herpen created in the past five years. The garments will be rotated every month…
