Impact of Ukraine war on Russians in Phuket

Hello,

I am currently writing an article on how the war in Ukraine is affecting the number of Russians moving permanently to Thailand, and particularly Koh Phangan and Phuket island. I traveled there in the past weeks and I noticed I was hearing a lot of Russian, so I made some research and found out that the number of Russian tourists and residents had increased on both islands since 2022. I thought about writing a blog post about first hand accounts: the voices behind numbers and statistics :)

You don’t necessarily have to be Russian (although it would make it more relevant), I am also looking for people willing to give me a general account of how they feel like the war has changed something on both these islands.
