If you are in Pai and looking for Pizza – hit up Baan Pizza – the owner saved my life.

Crashed my bike in between Mae Hong Son and Pai. Snapped my ankle and had no idea what to do.

The owner of Baan Pizza, Ricardo, immediately stopped, threw me a cold bottle of water, offered me a cigarette, and started helping get the bike off the road.

He ended up getting the bike dropped at the police station in Pai and drove me 90km to the hospital. I can’t tell you how much he and his amazing family helped me and my lady. I was out of Pai hospital and drinking beers on walking street (albeit on crutches) by 7pm that same night.

He’s an Italian who’s pizza shop has been around for 20+ years. That should be enough to sell it. Incredible Pizza and Al Dente Pasta.

If anyone is in Pai and is looking for a pie – hit up Baan Pizza off of walking street.

I’m getting surgery on my ankle in Chiang Mai tomorrow… I can’t fathom how unimaginably shitty this situation would have been without the hero that is Ricardo.
