If you’re In Bangkok, AVOID Midnite Bar Soi Cowboy Street. It’s a dangerous scam bar. Also, avoid these scam bars:
– Deja-Vu,
– Rio,
– Spicy Girls.
They’re known as the ‘Arab bars’. I believe they all have the same owner & the same scam strategy, enforced with violence and intimidation.
The ladies outside these bars coerce and lure unsuspecting patrons into their bars, then ask them to buy many, many lady drinks, often under misleading prices.
When the patron receives the huge bill, and refuses or is unable to pay it, then violence and intimidation and thuggery is used against them.
Unfortunately, police are in league with the bars, so there’s not really any recourse if you’re scammed or assaulted in these places.
In fact, it’s best to be careful and wary when in ANY bar on Soi Cowboy, but especially the places mentioned above.
