Hunger, Netflix’s film from Asia Pacific with the highest view hours in the first half of this year, has now added another feather to its cap. The Thai film recently won Best Feature Film at the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) in Singapore, triumphing over a long list of other outstanding films.
Directed by Sitisiri Monkolsiri and starring Nopachai “Peter” Jayanama, Chutimon “Aokbab” Chuengcharoensukying and Gunn Svasti, Hunger not only claimed the number one rank on the Netflix Global Top 10 Films list but also topped the charts in 51 countries, reaching Top 10 in 91 countries.
Previously, the film also won three awards in the national round of the AACA, including Best Feature Film, Best Original Screenplay by Kongdej Jaturanrasmee, and Best Actor in a Leading Role awarded to Nopachai for his portrayal of chef Paul.
