I live in Europe and have a very nice Thai neighbor. Today she cooked some curry and gifted some of it to me. I asked if I should chip in some money for the ingredients or could I maybe get a dessert for her, but she said no and that it’s a Thai tradition to share food. I thought it was a very nice gesture and would like to return the favour, but what would be a good way to do it? I normally don’t really cook but I was thinking I could buy some cake or other dessert and bring over. Would that be OK or do you guys have a better suggestion?
