In my family we have a Honda City, which also has a radio. Sometimes, somehow – I don’t know how, it resets and asks for it’s anti theft code. My family went to the dealership twice already, paid 500 THB each time and they input the code.
Apparently the 500 THB surcharge is because they have to take the radio out to get the serial number – that’s what a video in Thai says.
I watched some other video of an American guy and you can just press some buttons for the serial – so now I have the serial number. He input that into the Honda website together with his VIN and got the code. I tried the same website but it says the VIN is not recognized.
I don’t really feel like paying the dealership 500 THB just for them entering the VIN and serial on a website and inputting the code. I called Honda Thailand’s 24 hour hotline but they said only the dealership can help and I probably have to pay the service charge.
Do you guys perhaps have another idea?
