how soon can you move into a condo when you’re looking for places to rent?

I’m going to do a Master’s in Bangkok and I’m looking online for condos in the area. I read on this reddit that you can get an agent or go to the building yourself in person. But I haven’t seen anything on how long it takes from the beginning (the first time reaching out to check out the condo) until you can actually move in. I’m flying to Thailand at the end of July and booked a hotel for 5 nights hoping that will be enough time for me to find a condo and move in. If not, my family members who are coming to help are renting their hotel room for 10 nights in case I don’t find a place within the 5 nights. What is usually the average wait time for moving in when you sign a contract? Is it standard to be able to view a place, sign the contract, and move in within a week? Or even, all in the same day?

I already have a list of places I’m interested but I just want to know how early I need to be reaching out to agents/the building. A few months in advance? a few weeks? Should I start sending messages before I leave my home country? Thanks.
