How one does visa run? Have a one year visa that ends in october

Currently I have a student visa but I don’t want to comeback home on New Year/high season ticket boom. So want to do visa run couple of times. Planning on moving to Krabi after my last extension in July. Does anyone know how much visa run costs there or in Phuket? Or where I can find information about it? Like telegram channels and what not
